Along with the Editorial Director, Fine Arts, Tricia Waddell, I created a consumer survey with the goal to design a better-performing weekly editorial newsletter. The launch of Artists Weekly, an email featuring at least five fresh stories and an editor’s letter each week, was a wild success. It doubled the average click-through rate (CTR) of the previous weekly newsletter to a rate of 18.5%. According to Hubspot, the average CTR for the media industry is 7.71% and across all industries is 7.8%. My lowest-performing newsletter had a CTR of 13.2%.
